The Maritimo S50 Final Development Update

With the 2026 Sanctuary Cove show less than a month away now, the new S50 both takes its final form, and also offers insights into the vessel’s glorious exterior shape, and marvellous main deck features.

Maritimo’s latest luxury motor yacht now reveals how it has taken another step forward in the ever-continuing Maritimo evolution, with distinctive striping, and curvaceous styling both a standout feature, and a marque of elegance. Yet, it is without doubt that the very open main saloon, with ample access and flow from inside to out, and vice versa, will be a major talking point.

The significant internal roof height belies the sleek exterior, and the tall window aperture with large side openings amplify both the visual light and airiness, connection to the sea, and flow of the all-important sea breezes. This is only added to by the central glass skylight strip in the room, which also has two opening hatches.

As the first boat is to be finished in the modern oak aesthetic, spaciousness and connection from the swim platform and BBQ, to al fresco dining and helm, the new S50 is a statement for those looking to step up to a Maritimo, as well as those wishing to downsize without losing liveability or amenity.

Down below, the two-cabin format that has received accolades from both existing owners and new-to-the-brand buyers, remains as per the M50 flybridge luxury motor yacht. Here, the space given to both Staterooms, and their adjoining bathrooms.

The engines, wiring and plumbing are all installed, as are the panoramic windows, which marks the end of Fitout One, so now the focus turns completely onto placing in all of the wooden components that have been made so carefully and precisely over the last few months. Then washer and dryer, fridges, dishwasher, oven, cooktop, and icemakers will prepare the S50 for the role of an autonomous memory maker for future owners. Plush carpeting completes the package.

“It is all ready to go, lovingly varnished by the crew here at Maritimo, so now we fit it delicately, so as not to mark it, adjust anything that is required, then let them go do their thing, to make it all achieve our standards,” said Manufacturing Manager, Paul Wrench.

“This new S50 has a real Euro flare about it, without altering the traditional Maritimo robustness. It is not just in all the curves and angles of the roof, nor the significantly different C-Pillar at the rear of the coachhouse. Even the airducting for the engine room is sleeker. The main deck is all new, whereas below is as we know, but this does allow us to apply maximum focus where we need it to get the job done.”

“There’s a new boot, with the cockpit seating moulded into it, which helps to make the cockpit some 300mm longer, as well as housing the BBQ and sink. It’s ever so stylish and takes all of its design cues from the roof. The design team have excelled themselves here. It adds to the overarching ‘most S boat ever’ that Maritimo have produced. Quite the work of art, actually,” added Wrench.

In the lazarette under the lifting boot via electric actuators, there is 300l for the black tank, 700l of fresh water, and Maritimo’s race-derived steering, as well as storage for fishing rods and other items. Immediately behind this is the new, and very clever tilting and lowering swim platform, that when in the upright position nestles directly behind the trailing edge of the boot.

Yet it is without doubt that it will be the Main Saloon that not only captivates, but draws the most commentary when it comes to the new Maritimo S50. It is the signature statement. Open, airy, and with significant headroom on offer throughout, the vista from within to outside is no illusion of space, there literally is ample area everywhere across the different zones, that have been so harmoniously interconnected.

“It’s quite impressive, and together with the boot taking its styling cues from the roof, they will really set this boat apart. Immediately upon entering the Main Saloon you have the kitchen on the left. There is a full height, domestic fridge in the corner, then next to it is the cooktop with oven, and pot draw underneath. This is right where the side windows taper to their end, so it adds fantastic light into the whole galley,” said Wrench.

“Then moving around and facing forward, you have the bin the corner, then sink, with cupboards underneath and the dishwasher drawer. The S50 also features a return in the galley with more drawers, and there are also drawers on the inboard side that go in towards the sink.”

“Over to the right side, there is a full height, pull out pantry in the corner, and then a bench that overlaps and connects into the banquette, behind the twin helm chairs, the inboard one of which is cantilevered to again elevate the sense of space. Under the bench there is another fridge/freezer combo, and you can either have a cupboard or wine fridge next to that.”

“In front and to starboard is the stylish helm position showcasing the new floating dash, and then to the left is the dinette with TV up towards the front windows. As per the M50, the dinette converts so simply and easily into a very large double,” concluded Wrench.

The level of detail within the galley speaks to Maritimo’s understanding of how their boats are actually used. Long-range cruising demands more than just aesthetic appeal. It requires systems and layouts that support extended time on board without compromise. The inclusion of multiple zones, generous bench space, and intelligent storage solutions ensures that the S50 is as capable offshore, as it is comfortable at anchor.

Throughout the vessel, it is completely evident that the S50 is not simply a scaled-down version of a larger model, nor a cosmetic reinterpretation of an existing platform.

Maritimo’s approach to building luxury motor yachts has always been grounded in a very clear philosophy. Namely, form must follow function, and innovation must serve the owner-operator first. Nowhere is that more evident than in the evolution of the Maritimo S50, a super-luxurious sedan motor yacht that represents both a continuation of proven design principles, and a deliberate step forward in styling, spatial design, and onboard experience.

The S50 is not defined by any one innovation, but by the consistency with which every detail has been considered, refined, and executed. In a market where styling often takes precedence over substance, the S50 stands as a reminder that true luxury lies in the balance between the two.

The S50 is more than just a new model. It is a statement of intent. This is a clear indication of where Maritimo is heading, and how it continues to refine its approach to building luxury motor yachts. The actual birth of the marvellous, new S50 is also a reflection of everything that has come before it.

One of the best ways to truly appreciate all that the Maritimo S50 Sedan Motor Yacht embodies will be to see it at the forthcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
