Maritimo will introduce its new S50 Sedan Motor Yacht to the Americas at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, bringing the Australian builder’s newest motor yacht to one of the world’s most important boating markets.
Following its global launch at Australia’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May, the S50 arrives in North America as a key addition to Maritimo’s model range. At 50 feet, the S50 addresses what Maritimo sees as an underserved segment of the Americas market while sitting squarely within the 50- to 75-foot range in which the builder has established a strong following among experienced owner-operators.
More importantly, the S50 brings together many of the attributes that have defined Maritimo for more than two decades: offshore capability, efficient shaft-drive performance, straightforward and robust engineering, exceptional usable volume and a design created around the way boaters actually use their boats.

Building boats for the demanding waters surrounding Australia has created an emphasis on seakeeping, durability, range and practical systems, all attributes that translate naturally to boating throughout North America and beyond.

The S50 packages those qualities into a highly manageable 50-foot platform.
At the heart of the S50 is Maritimo’s signature single-level approach. The cockpit, aft galley, salon and helm are connected on one level, creating an uninterrupted living and entertaining space with excellent visibility and a natural connection to the water.
The aft galley sits immediately to port and features full-height domestic refrigeration, cooktop and oven, generous storage and abundant natural light. Outside, an integrated cockpit “boot” incorporates seating, barbecue and sink while providing access to the lazarette and key onboard systems. This innovation not only improves usability, but also contributes to the yacht’s cohesive design language, with styling cues drawn directly from the roof structure above.
Further enhancing the outdoor experience is a sophisticated tilting and lowering swim platform which, when raised, integrates seamlessly with the transom. Known as Maritimo’s Adaptive Swim Platform, it provides practical functionality for water access while maintaining a clean, uncluttered aesthetic when underway. Importantly, when tilted to the vertical position, the platform reduces the vessel’s overall length, offering a valuable advantage for owners with restrictive pen or berth sizes, making marina accommodation more flexible without compromising usability or design.
The distinctive roofline, with its large, fixed overhang, provides the ultimate in all-weather protection while also accentuating the sleek profile, made even more striking by its black highlights and striping. The large panoramic windows, opening side sections and a central glass skylight with dual opening hatches bring natural light and ventilation throughout the salon. The result is an open main deck that emphasizes usable space.

Offshore DNA Beneath the Surface
The S50’s comfort does not come at the expense of performance. Power is provided by twin 800-horsepower Volvo Penta D13 diesels, coupled to Maritimo’s proven, shallow shaft-drive configuration. The yacht also incorporates race-derived steering and reflects the builder’s longstanding emphasis on efficiency, durability and offshore performance. (1,000hp option will be on display at FLIBS)
That engineering philosophy is fundamental to every Maritimo. Rather than introducing technology or complexity simply for its own sake, the company focuses on systems that contribute directly to performance, reliability, serviceability and the ownership experience.
Below deck, the S50 offers two generously proportioned staterooms with adjoining bathrooms. The forward VIP can be configured with twin or double berths, while a convertible settee in the saloon increases total sleeping capacity to six. Full domestic appliances, including washer and dryer, complement the storage and accommodations required for extended cruising.
A 50-Foot Yacht That Lives Large
The S50 also occupies an important position within the Maritimo range. Its size and ease of operation provide an approachable entry into Maritimo ownership while offering existing owners an opportunity to move into a more manageable yacht without giving up the space, offshore capability or cruising amenities they value.
That was a central objective of the original S50 design: combining the intimacy and ease of handling of a 50-foot yacht with features and spatial qualities more commonly associated with larger vessels.
