EXPERIENCED KIWIS FLY MARITIMO FLAG IN NEW ZEALAND

Three of the most experienced and respected marine industry figures in New Zealand have joined forces to spearhead a marketing push by Australian luxury cruiser manufacturer Maritimo into New Zealand.

Maritimo’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Greg Haines, said the three comprising Don Senior, Bruce McGill and Alistair Hool would turbo charge Maritimo’s sales results in NZ.

“Combined they have decades of experience in the marine industry and they are all highly respected so we know they will do a great job for us,” said Haines.

He said the company’s results at the recent Auckland International Boat Show and the interest shown in the M65 cruising Motoryacht, which travelled from the Gold Coast to NZ under its own power, bode well for Maritimo in New Zealand.

“We have always had strong interest in our products from the Kiwis, but I think with Don, Bruce and Alistair now driving hard in the market, 2016 will be a bumper year for us,” said Haines.

Don Senior, who is located at Westhaven, started in the marine industry straight out of school and has had a long association with Maritimo.

“After I finished school I moved into boat design and engineering and we ran a successful business for many years before I moved into brokerage,” he said.

“In 2004 my daughter Donelle joined the company and at that time we became the agents for Maritimo in New Zealand.

“We had a four year break and are now thrilled to again be representing Maritimo in this country.”

Don said he and Donelle work well as a team doing everything from boat shows through to handovers and full after sales support.

“Maritimo is a fantastic company. The boats are world class combining fuel efficiency, modern styling and design which well suits our conditions. ” said Senior.

“Also having the certainty and customer peace of mind created by the fact that Maritimo is a fully funded, well credentialed company with absolutely no risk of any financial issues, giving us a distinct advantage over some of the competition.”

Bruce McGill was the New Zealand agent for another large scale Australian boat manufacturer for many years and Alistair worked for him. The three men will work independently but co-operatively representing Maritimo in their respective market places.

“We believe this will give our current and future customers in NZ the very best service possible,” said Haines.
