NEW M54 CRUISING MOTORYACHT SET TO PROVIDE SPACE AND COMFORT

One of the latest offerings from the Maritimo stable, the M54 cruising motoryacht, is already generating enquiry even though it won’t be formally unveiled until 2017 at the Miami International Boat Show.

Renders and deck plans for the M54 were released at the recent Sydney International Boat Show and several prospective purchasers have shown interest.

The M54 will fill a gap between the M50 cruising motoryacht that we launched at Sanctuary Cove in May and the M58 cruising motoryacht which was launched in 2014,” said Maritimo Sales and Marketing Manager Greg Haines. “It will have a base price of $1.86 million so it sits a fair bit under the M58 but gives the owner more space than the M50.”

Mr Haines said the three cabin, two bathroom vessel would comfortably sleep eight people. He said the starboard cabin would have two large single beds that can be pushed together to create a queen size double and the expansive flybridge would also include a fold out double creating another private spacious cabin.

The space in the flybridge allows us to also include a lounge opposite the fold out double bed,” he said. “The first vessel will be completed by Christmas 2016 and then we will release it internationally at Miami early in 2017. The early signs of interest in this model are very encouraging.”

Mr Haines said the boat would feature the same tender garage design as the M48 for a dinghy and water toys and it would also feature the full beam master suite that the new generation of Maritimo cruisers are famous for.

He said one of the other features of the M54 was its wider beam, which added to the overall spaciousness of the vessel.

As standard it will be powered by D11-725 Volvo Penta diesel and there would be the option to  have D13-800 or 900 horsepower Volvo Pentas. The M54 will also include the Maritimo patented engine room liner that is standard on all Maritimo cruising motoryachts.

We expect this model to appeal to the owners of the older M48’s or M50’s who cannot extend to the M58 at this point in their boating lives, but want something new and a bit bigger than what they have,” he said.

“The interest shown in the boat when we released images and deck plans in Sydney was very strong so we think it will go well.”

Mr Haines said the recent Sydney International Boat Show had been very successful for the company with multiple vessels sold including an M65, an M58 and a new M61.
