MARITIMO LAUNCH PEERLESS M59 AT SANCTUARY COVE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

Leading Australian luxury cruiser manufacturer, Maritimo, has had the Australasian premier of its new M59 cruising motor yacht at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Maritimo says the M59 has unquestionable design pedigree and boasts a new dimension in space and elegance. The vessel had its world premier at the recent Miami International Boat Show.  It has since met with rave reviews, and recorded five sales internationally and strong forward orders.

Maritimo’s General Manager of Operations, Phil Candler said from concept to completion the M59 undergoes thousands of rigorous design and development hours by an expert team.

“This happens in collaboration with global customer focus groups and feedback ensuring that the vessels elegant finishes, versatility and clever use of space exceeds customer expectations,” said Candler.

Maritimo International Sales and Marketing Manager, Greg Haines, said the M59, with a price tag of $2.150m, has three cabins, two bathrooms, a wide beam and large rear opening lazerette consistent with the design philosophy of M64, and the M51.

“The rear of the boat opens to a large storage space which is perfect for a tender and all the water toys you could want,” he said. The cockpit is accessed from both sides with openings to the hydraulic swim platform (optional) and because of the boat’s large beam the space is substantial. The 5.36 metre beam on the M59 is wider than the Maritimo M62.”

Haines said Maritimo’s race proven shaft drive technology reduces fuel consumption, and gives the peace of mind of lower maintenance costs and increased longevity of ownership. The M59 has a draft of 1.225 metres (4 feet), a fuel capacity of 4400 litres, and water capacity is 700 litres. The vessel sleeps six people standard and up to eight. Standard engines are twin Volvo D11 – 725 MHP power plants and a Cummins – Onan 17.5 KW generator.

“The versatility and clever use of space is highlighted with the addition of an optional fold out bed on the flybridge which creates a separate private cabin with stunning views day and night,” said Haines. “The full beam master cabin, which is a hallmark of the Maritimo range, is both luxurious and expansive providing optimal comfort.”

Haines said Maritimo had been displaying its vessels at the annual Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show since the company’s formation and Maritimo founder, Bill Barry-Cotter, has had an unbroken involvement with Sanctuary Cove since the show started more than two decades ago.

“The investment we have made in the new Maritimo sales and marketing hub centre at Sanctuary Cove gives a good indication of our strong belief in this location, and we are looking forward to the results from this year’s show with great excitement,” he said.

He said Maritimo’s overall presence at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is the largest it has ever assembled at a boat show.  There were eight vessels on display including the M59 and the new S59 as well as a variety of the company’s other models. The M70 was the largest vessel displayed.
